Supreme Λιώσιμο

Τελευταία εβδομάδα, αμέσως αφότου γύσισα απο το Λονδίνο με μια εβδομάδα διακοπές να περισσεύει, το υπέρτατο λιώσιμο στον υπολογιστή. Ο Λόγος; Supreme Commander.

Τι παιχνίδι είναι απίστευτο μιλάμε ναούμ! Τεράστιοι χάρτες, άπειρες μονάδες για μάχη, γαμάτα γραφικά και στρατηγική…αλλα στρατηγική λέμε όχι μαλακίες. Όταν έχεις μονάδες Γής, Νερού, Αέρα και υβριδικές καθώς και το κλασσικό παιχνίδι πέτρα-ψαλίδι-χαρτί-πυρηνικό ολοκάυτωμα, βάλε και τους άπειρους τρόπους προσέγγισης του αντιπάλου, χώσε και δεκάδες τρόπους να αναπτύξεις την βάση σου, οικονομικά, αμυντικά και ακόμα και επιθετικά (ναι ναι, επιθετική “βαση”), χωρίς να περιορίζεσαι στο ποιός θα βγάλει τα περισσότερα παπαδάκια με τσεκουράκια να κόβουν ξύλα…ε ΓΚΑΒΛΑ

7 μέρες δεν ξεκόλησα απο την οθόνη και το campaign, δωδεκάωρα και βάλε. (Εύκολα κάθε αποστολή μπορεί να σου πάρει 2-3 ώρες.)

Λιώσιμο

Τα μόνα άσχημα είναι οτι το campaign δεν λεχει παρα πολύ ψαγμένο storyline αλά blizzard φάσεις, και ακολουθεί το κλασσικό μοτίβο των τριών διαφορετικών campaign, μια για κάθε faction που είναι ακριβώς ίδιες στο storyline (δηλ εκεί που με τους μεν κάνεις επίθεση και καταστρέφεις την πόλη του άλλου και προσπαθείς να εξοντώσεις όσους περισσότερους πρόσφυγες μπορείς, στους δε προσπαθείς να καθυστερήσεις τον άλλο μέχρι να φύγουν αρκετοί πρόσφυγες κλπ. Μόνο στην τελευταία αποστολή διαφοροποιείται το όλο θέμα, ανάλογα με το ποιος θα νικήσει. Ενδιαφέρον θα είναι στο expansion να παίζεις κάθε campaign σαν το faction σου να ήταν το νικητήριο.

Anyway, αρχίζω να ξεφεύγω. Πάρτε μια ιδέα απο παιχνίδι με μερικά screenshots, αν και είναι πολύ εύκολο να δείτε το πολυ καλό trailer.

Φυσικα το παίχνίδι είναι γουρούνι στα resources. Εαν θέλεις να το παίξεις με άνεση, τουλάχιστον dual core και 2 gig ram καθώς και μια VGA 400 τουλάχιστων έουρο.

It is amazing how many things in [tag]London[/tag] remind me of how much I failed to get a job when I was around here.
The sounds, the smells and even my old ringtone bring to my mind all those times I was desperately trying to find a job before I was kicked out of my appartment.

I also remember all the days I was working in those crappy Pubs and Restaurants and how miserable I felt at that. Just mindless serving of drinks and complaints about being too friendly. I will attempt to visit the pub I was banned from this Sunday, if only to see if the same people are working there. Maybe some schadenfreude when I see the person that got me fired, still working there and earning 1/3 of what I do, will make my day.

Then I will continue to the Souk Medina and see if the “YesBoss Man” is still working there or if he got finally kicked out as I was told he would. I’d really love to laugh at that prick’s face when I see him back to selling trinkets on the street.
Thinking back, those 5 months almost ruined the London experience for me. Good thing it was easy to make some friends to alleviate all the bad shit that was happening. I hope I get to see the company of Greeks back at the Crobar and maybe have some board gaming with Alex on Sunday.

Coincidences

So, back to [tagLondon[/tag] for the weekend. The reason for this was to pick up the rest of my stuff that I left here when I left (consisting of a few clothes and whatever is left of my CD/DVD collection). I could have just send it with courrier but that would cost approximately the same amount of money as me coming here so…here I am.

It’s amazing the amount of coincidences that happened with this trip. First, I came yesterday and I decided to call up a girl I met a week before I left for Frankfurt. It turns out that she is leaving London for vacation this weekend as well. In all the weeks she could pick, it was this one.
Well, at least I managed to see her for a few hours before she left (she flew at 4am). It was a good thing that I didn’t come yesterday.

Another coincidence is that a guy I met from our common firestaff interest (in the Electric Ballroom no less) is having a birthday. Not only that, but he decided to give me a call today, after 3 months of no contact at all (!). I’m not complaining at all however, this is the perfect occasion for my night out. And I’ll get a chance to meet that perpetual whiner, Alex 😛

Now, if Nancy and Dan decide to visit London on Saturday, I’ll be amazingly surprised 🙂

The funny thing is that I didn’t even choose this date myself. It was all because my cousing could only let me stay here this week, when his gf is on vacation.

ITS finally

Επιτέλους με έβαλαν στο δεύτερο επίπεδο υποστήριξης στην ΕΚΤ. Ναιμ είναι μόνο για ένα μήνα, αλλά το γεγονός οτι αυτό έγινε μόλις 3 μήνες αφότου προσλήφθηκα για Helpdesk είναι καλό δείγμα πιστεύω.

Σήμερα ήταν η πρώτη μέρα μου σε αυτή τη θέση και αν και δεν μου ανέθεσαν πολλά προβλήματα, δεν κόλλησα σε κάτι χαζό και ότι παρέμεινε απλά περιμένει τον χρήστη να επικοινωνήσει.

Δυστυχώς είχα ένα πονοκεφαλιάρικο πρόβλημα στο οποίο δεν κατάφερα να βρώ λύση και με μεγάλη μου δυσαρέσκεια αναγκάστηκα να το στείλω στο τρίτο επίπεδο υποστήριξης.

Παρ’ολ’αυτά τώρα πια έχω λίγο περισσότερη αυτοπεποίθηση στις ικανότητες μου για αυτή τη θέση γιατί θα παραδεχτώ ότι είμουν λίγο αγχωμένος όταν ξεκίνησα το πρωί. Εφόσον δεν έκανα καμία μεγάλη μπαρούφα και τα προβλήματα που με προβλημάτησαν έκαναν το ίδιο και στους άλλους συνάδελφους, είμαι καλά

…Αν εξαιρέσει κανείς την παρατήρηση που μου έκαναν επειδή μίλαγα πολύ δυνατά.

Πολύ ενθουσιασμός ίσως; 🙂

This is one of the most thought-provoking, interesting and just fucking lengthy threads I have ever set eyes upon. I found it within a Last.fm group which is another reason why you should take another look at this service.

I am warning you that this is quite a lengthy thread, not because of the number of replies (it’s just 2 pages long currently), but because every fucking reply is a gawd damn Thesis!

Anyway, hop on to it y’all. I’ve already replied and I’m quite eager to see some more responses.
