And if this God did indeed make man in his own image (or not). Why would He create a creature set to worship on faith alone, when we are clearly instruments of reason? I would imagine any creator of anything would hope the best for its creation. Since mans positive progression throughout history can be attributed to logic, reasoning, and deduction, why would that not be praised by an almighty? It is that very logic, reasoning, and deduction that brought us out of the empirical reign religion once held over western civilization. Thus bringing advancements to medicine, exploration, and all reletaive qualities of life. It seems suiting that God (if there is a God), wanting the best for His creation, would encourage man to reason instead of trust and hope. Side Note: Believing in God, or disbelieving in God, is folly. What we should be doing to working together through our own systematic processes for the improvement of mankind. If there is a God.
